From Matt Meko.

Does the phrase “naked fitness” make you nervous?  Fearful?  Titillated?  Mind/body fitness alone is a challenge.  When the thought of nudity is added - of literally stripping down to all that you are including spots, scars, folds, and bellies - people often get defensive, judgmental, or giggle.  But you haters and doubters, you may be missing an opportunity.  Mind/body fitness's nature is healing.  Being nude simply amps up the results, even if it's just finding out that there's not much power in the body parts that we all have.  Even the ones that must not be named.

Being Bare With Clothes On

No matter who I have worked with, from CEO to janitor, elite athlete to the morbidly obese, we all have the same body process.  Obviously the constructs are different, but we are all capable of a balanced flow in our life that is resembled in our body.

The largest organ in the body is our porous skin.  Have you taken a shower or bath or jumped in a pool and laid out afterwards to dry off?  Could you feel your skin, be like a sponge and soak up the moisture?  To allow prana (life force) to move in and out of more than a nose during a mind/body fitness class is equally liberating and energizing.  Mind/body fitness without clothes may not solve problems, but it may be a step towards a greater sense of freedom, integration, honesty, acceptance, and awareness of being fully you - alive right now.  Maybe these feelings will translate out of class into your life.  Try mind/body fitness naked in your own privacy or in a group setting.  What have you got to lose besides your clothes?
